About the position

The Service Manager is a leadership role focused on overseeing service operations within a luxury apartment community. This position emphasizes excellent customer service, team collaboration, and effective management of maintenance tasks to ensure a high-quality living environment for residents. The Service Manager is responsible for building rapport with residents, vendors, and the service team while implementing maintenance programs and adhering to budget guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team and complete building and annual unit inspections to comply with local regulations.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to set expectations and meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize emergency and service repairs.
  • Understand budget guidelines when purchasing supplies and scheduling vendor services.
  • Provide mentorship and training to on-site service teams in all technical areas of property maintenance.
  • Adapt to changing day-to-day tasks based on community needs.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience working in apartment maintenance.
  • EPA Certification Type I and II.
