About the position

WDC Kitchen and Bath Center is looking for a Showroom Concierge to join our team! We are a luxury retailer of home appliances, outdoor kitchens, and plumbing fixtures. The Showroom Concierge is responsible for supporting Sales by upholding a welcoming environment to every customer, providing basic confirmations and communications to customers and sales using system resources, and catching any order errors before they go to other departments. This pivotal role’s success is directly supported by the Showroom’s Area Manager and indirectly supported by our corporate teams to help with order management, delivery, and after-delivery customer care. Responsibilities

  • Track and manage the flow of new customers entering the Showroom.
  • Matches new customer opportunities to sales staff based on store policy.
  • Answers for any new customer assignment disputes.
  • Using various software to review open orders for accuracy and updating orders or customer information if changes occur.
  • Directs job applicants to fill out application for current job openings online.
  • Escalate any job verifications or records requests to the Human Resources department.
  • Performs routine office tasks necessary for the operation and presentation of a professional workplace as observed by the Area Manager.
  • Assists with clerical tasks to include typing, filing, proofreading, maintenance of system notes, and data entry.
  • Promptly, accurately, professionally and courteously receive telephone calls if Reception is not available.
  • Record and relays messages to Showroom team members as directed and requested while keeping professionalism, clarity, and confidentiality.
  • Engage with Customers professionally and courteously with genuine concern for their WDC experience needs.
  • Builds rapport with guests of the showroom, customers, vendors and coworkers.
  • Manages refreshment area and takes stock to ensure adequately supplied.
  • Offers and serves coffee/refreshments to Customers.
  • Assists with product demonstrations by preparing samples and offering to the Customers.
  • Promptly greets every person entering the Showroom within WDC Customer Experience guidelines.
  • Is aware of Showroom display standards and escalates concern to the appropriate persons if an area is not aligned with these standards related to marketing and pricing.
  • Ensure that the Showroom is consistently tidy and clean, free of dust.
  • Escalates cleaning or hazard concerns promptly so that concerns may be addressed appropriately.
  • Leads the seasonal store decoration efforts in collaboration with Area Manager.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years’ experience within a luxury retail, customer service, or similar role required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, and demonstrate good listening skills.
  • Minimum High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to change direction as priorities shift and adapt to changing circumstances.
