About the position

The Luxury On Premise Portfolio Manager at Sazerac Company is a vital role responsible for managing and expanding the Bond & Royal portfolio of premium spirit brands within the independent on-premise channel. This position focuses on a diverse range of 30 premium, heritage-based craft spirit brands, including categories such as Tequila, Mezcal, Rum, Cordials, Bitters, American Whiskey, Scotch Whiskey, Brandy, and Gin. The Portfolio Manager will be instrumental in building and nurturing influential account relationships, driving quality distribution, securing menu placements, and leading educational initiatives at the wholesale, retail, and consumer levels. The successful execution of these responsibilities will directly contribute to achieving the long-term strategic and commercial goals of Sazerac Company. In this role, the Portfolio Manager is expected to be actively engaged in the field, visiting and supporting accounts daily to meet a monthly quota of account visits set by the general manager. The position requires achieving assigned key performance indicators (KPIs) related to distribution, menu placements, and volume initiatives, thereby significantly increasing Sazerac's presence in the assigned account universe. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager will spearhead industry-leading educational seminars for on-premise influencers, distributors, and internal teams, delivering brand-specific training to enhance sales techniques and provide cocktail suggestions, wait staff training, and drink pairing ideas. Financial management is also a critical aspect of this role, as the Portfolio Manager will develop and manage a promotional budget to capitalize on local opportunities while ensuring effective tracking and management of expenses. Engaging with distributors is essential, as the Portfolio Manager will monitor inventory, sales, and program execution, participate in ride-alongs to build networks within wholesalers, and present sales programs at General Sales Meetings. This position is based in Atlanta, GA, and requires a proactive approach to sales and education in the competitive spirits market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the Bond & Royal portfolio of brands in the independent on-premise space.
  • Achieve monthly quota for account visits set by the general manager.
  • Meet assigned KPIs including distribution, menu placements, and volume initiatives.
  • Increase Sazerac's presence in the account universe.
  • Drive sales, visibility, and provide support within the account universe.
  • Spearhead educational seminars for on-premise influencers, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Deliver category and brand specific trainings to wholesale partners.
  • Provide cocktail suggestions, wait staff trainings, and drink pairing ideas.
  • Develop and manage promotional budget to capitalize on local opportunities.
  • Monitor inventory, sales, and program execution with distributors.
  • Participate in ride-alongs to build networks within wholesalers.
  • Present sales programs at General Sales Meetings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 21+ years old.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry at distributor or supplier.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Working knowledge of the dynamics of the three-tier beverage alcohol distribution system.
  • Familiar with luxury spirit brands and marketing.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Candidate must reside in or near the territory.
  • Must be able to personally pay or charge ordinary and necessary business expenses that will be timely reimbursed.
  • Must be able to obtain relevant solicitors permit in any state.
