About the position

The LVC Integration Engineer role focuses on developing and integrating Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training Environments for the Marine Corps. This position combines technical skills with strategic thinking to enhance national security and training readiness. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and evolving systems that support all-domain training solutions, ensuring that customer needs are met through innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the Marine Corps' Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training Environment.
  • Design and develop systems that enhance training and mission readiness.
  • Integrate new solutions for the Marine Corps.
  • Utilize software, hardware, and network capacity to create a persistent training environment.
  • Translate real-world needs into technical specifications.

Requirements

  • Experience using virtual machines such as VMWare, Hypervisor, or Virtual Box.
  • Knowledge of distributed simulation protocols such as High-Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS).
  • Knowledge of Joint C4I tactical systems such as Link 16, GCCS-J, or USMC C4I, including AFATDS, C2PC, CAC2S and JADOCS, or Army Mission Command Systems.
  • Knowledge of the principles associated with creating virtual and constructive environments.
  • Knowledge of networks and networking concepts.
  • Ability to utilize network and distributed modeling and simulation tools such as Wireshark, Redsim, SIMDIS, or RTI-s.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or IT and 2+ years of experience with distributed modeling and simulation, and systems integration, or 5+ years of experience with distributed modeling and simulation, and systems integration in lieu of a degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Team Awareness Kit (TAK).
  • Experience creating virtual machines.
  • Experience with JLVC, Joint Exercise Control System (JECS), JCATS, JSAF, JLOD, JDLM, or ACE-IOS software.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of the Marine Corps Training and Education Command, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Center, and associated Battle Simulation Centers.
  • Knowledge of the Marine Corps Synthetic Training Environment, Force Design 2030.
  • SEP Certification.
  • Enterprise Architect Certification.
  • VMWare Certification.
