About the position

The LVC Integration Engineer role focuses on developing and integrating systems for the Marine Corps' Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training Environment. This position combines technical skills with strategic thinking to enhance national security and training readiness. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and evolving training systems that meet customer needs, utilizing advanced technology solutions to create a persistent, networked training environment for Marines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the Marine Corps Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training Environment.
  • Design and develop systems that support customer training and mission readiness.
  • Integrate new solutions for the Marine Corps training environments.
  • Utilize software, hardware, and network capacity to create training solutions.
  • Translate real-world needs into technical specifications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with distributed modeling and simulation and systems integration.
  • Experience creating virtual machines, such as VMWare, Hypervisor, or Virtual Box.
  • Knowledge of distributed simulation protocols, such as High-Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS).
  • Knowledge of Joint C4I tactical systems, such as Link 16, GCCS-J, or USMC C4I.
  • Knowledge of the principles associated with creating virtual and constructive environments.
  • Knowledge of networks and networking concepts.
  • Ability to utilize network and distributed modeling and simulation tools, such as Wireshark, Redsim, SIMDIS, or RTI-s.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or Information Technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Team Awareness Kit (TAK).
  • Experience with JLVC, JECS, JCATS, JSAF, JLOD, JDLM or ACE-IOS software.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps Training and Education Command and associated Battle Simulation Centers.
  • Knowledge of the Marine Corps Synthetic Training Environment, Force Design 2030.
  • SEP Certification.
  • Enterprise Architect Certification.
