Responsibilities

• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable laws.
• Perform patient care functions as prescribed by physician/health care professionals following established protocols.
• Assist medical personnel with special procedures and minor surgical procedures.
• Assess and monitor patients' conditions and notify healthcare professionals for further action.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician orders.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, and arrange for repairs as needed.
• Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control as per guidelines.
• Monitor patient flow and direct ancillary personnel as necessary.
• Provide medical information and education to patients following established protocols.
• Document patient information and nursing procedures accurately.
