The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position at Sutter Health involves providing nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician. Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing.
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification for California-based jobs.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills and various medical procedures.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
