About the position

The position involves providing care to clinic patients under the supervision of a physician or registered nurses, adhering to established standards and practices. The role includes performing various lab procedures and basic patient care duties, ensuring a smooth patient flow through the clinic, and assisting with administrative tasks related to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care duties including obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens.
• Assist provider(s) in examination and treatment of patients and with procedures.
• Help with patient flow through the clinic.
• Answer phone calls, record messages, and assist provider(s) with patient-related calls.
• Assist in scheduling test appointments, results, and pre-certification.
• Document any information related to patients.
• Assist provider(s) with medication refills.
• Administer medications/immunizations according to provider order.
• Clean and restock exam rooms and equipment in accordance with policy.
• Order stock supplies from the supply department and maintain sterile technique.
• Perform routine clerical duties such as locating patient charts, filing, and completing routine forms.
• Attend and complete required meetings and in-service training, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• CERT LVN License in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification
