About the position
The LVN/LPN position at Twinsburg Post Acute involves providing direct nursing care to residents while supervising nursing assistants. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents.
- Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures by nursing personnel.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs.
- Complete required documentation for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Administer medications as ordered by physicians and verify resident identities before administration.
- Participate in employee performance evaluations and staffing requirements.
- Conduct in-service training for nursing staff and assist in orientation for new employees.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and infection control procedures.
- Maintain communication with residents, families, and medical staff regarding care plans and changes in resident conditions.
Requirements
- Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
- Must have a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in the state of Ohio.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws and regulations pertaining to nursing care facilities.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
