Responsibilities

• Provides skilled direct patient care (dialysis) to renal dialysis patients.
• Monitors renal dialysis patients during treatment.
• Operates all renal dialysis equipment effectively.
• Recognizes changes in the renal patient's condition while on dialysis.
• Administers medications as required.
• Accesses hemodialysis catheters for patient care technicians as assigned.

Requirements

• Three years of recent experience in general patient care.
• Successful completion of a three (3) month probation period.
• Verification of course completion in accordance with American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support guidelines.
• Current LVN licensure in the State of Texas.
