About the position

The LVN Staff position in the Emergency Department (ED) at Cook Children's Health Care System is a full-time role located in Fort Worth, TX. This position operates on the third shift, with standard weekly hours set at 36. The LVN will function in a collaborative practice environment alongside physicians and advanced practice providers (APP) within the ED setting. The primary responsibility of the LVN is to provide emergency nursing care as delegated by the registered nurse or directed by the physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s). This includes conducting patient-focused assessments, implementing interventions, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and their families. The LVN is expected to skillfully and consistently perform daily clinical duties in accordance with established policies and procedures, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times. The role requires a graduate from an accredited nursing program and mandates a current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. Additionally, the LVN must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and may require further certifications depending on the specific areas of practice within the Medical Center. Requirements
