About The Position

The Treatment Nurse at Ocean Park Healthcare Center is primarily responsible for providing skin care to residents in accordance with their care plans and adhering to current federal and state regulations. This role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality nursing care while maintaining residents' privacy and dignity.

Requirements

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing care.
• Ability to create and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following facility policies ensuring residents' privacy and dignity.
• Work alongside departmental and multidisciplinary teams.
• Check vital signs and treat wounds as necessary.
• Follow infection control protocols and make rounds with physicians when requested.
• Make sound independent decisions and effectively communicate with residents and their representatives.
• Perform administrative duties including charting in residents' charts and completing medical forms, reports, and evaluations.
• Abide by all facility policies and procedures, including privacy protocols and charting policies.
• Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately.
• Attend annual facility in-service training programs, CDC, and OSHA training.
• Attend meetings and serve on committees when required.
• Complete other assignments as requested.
