About the position

The Sr. Instructional Designer / Learning Experience Producer at Visa will play a crucial role in designing and delivering innovative learning experiences that enhance product knowledge and fluency across the organization. This position involves collaboration with subject matter experts and the Growth & Functional Learning Team to create impactful learning solutions that drive business performance. The role requires a strong understanding of human-centered design principles and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with VU's Growth & Functional Learning Team to design and deliver learning experiences supporting product knowledge and fluency.
  • Leverage technical acumen to understand fundamental product information and translate that knowledge into consumable learning experiences.
  • Work with SMEs to understand learning needs and design effective learning solutions using design thinking and adult learning principles.
  • Develop engaging, innovative, accessible, and scalable global learning solutions in various formats (e.g., ILT, vILT, e-Learning).
  • Support user acceptance testing and focus groups, analyze feedback, and implement prioritized changes.
  • Engage with vendors to scale team capacity, manage project deliverables, and act as a conduit between SMEs and vendors.
  • Collaborate with project management and delivery teams to ensure seamless implementation of learning solutions.
  • Share best practices and expertise in learning capabilities with a community of learning experience designers.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and identify new learning technologies to enhance products and experiences.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least two years of work experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to develop working technical and product expertise for designing learning solutions.
  • Experience in using human-centered design principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, Agile, Design Thinking).
  • Proficiency with common authoring tools (e.g., Storyline, Rise, Synthesia, Camtasia).
  • Demonstrated passion for developing holistic learning experiences with a focus on user experience and business strategies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and tackle unfamiliar tasks with enthusiasm.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to translate content into a visual, multimedia experience using graphics, animation, and audio/video.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant experience with an advanced degree.
  • Specific experience designing technical product knowledge training for a large global audience.
  • Familiarity with design thinking and related principles.
  • Exposure to just-in-time, collaborative, and adaptive learning platforms.
  • Experience working in a global corporate organization supporting product and/or sales functions.
  • Payments industry knowledge and experience.
