About the position

Upperline Health is seeking a motivated M&A Analyst to support the company's growth through strategic acquisitions. This role is integral to the Business Development Department, reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer (CDO). The M&A Analyst will be responsible for conducting research, managing pipelines, and participating in deal pitches, while also supporting financial modeling and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on acquisition targets and prepare customized databases.
  • Build financial models that factor in deal-specific nuances.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from the executive leadership team.
  • Initiate contact with prospective acquisition targets and arrange appointments with the CDO.
  • Participate in pitches to present Upperline and gain context on specific deals.
  • Set priorities and follow up on progress to ensure efficient outbound call center operations.
  • Provide strategic guidance to maximize the effectiveness of the cold calling process.
  • Execute higher-touch cold calling to major practices to generate deal flow.
  • Manage mailers and follow-ups to generate deal flow.
  • Attend industry conferences and organize events in partnership with the CDO.
  • Organize and manage the pipeline to ensure timely follow-up and refresh data periodically.
  • Prepare and maintain internal presentations on all deals under LOI.
  • Maintain close contact with various internal teams to ensure smooth execution from signed LOI to closed deal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in M&A, Corporate Development, or Investment Banking.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and familiarity with LOI drafting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant CRM tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare or related industries.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
