About the position

This position involves conducting market research and industry analysis to evaluate strategic hires and acquisition targets. The role requires developing financial models to analyze investment returns and performance metrics, assisting in deal structuring, and preparing investment memorandums for presentations. The candidate will monitor the performance of strategic hires and acquired companies, collaborating with management teams to drive growth and operational improvements. Additionally, the role includes working with cross-functional teams to manage acquisition due diligence and translate conceptual ideas into actionable business plans.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and industry analysis to assess strategic hires and acquisition targets.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze investment returns, cash flows, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in structuring deals and preparing investment memorandums for investment committee presentations.
  • Monitor and track the performance of strategic hires and acquired companies, working closely with management teams to drive growth and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate across business units to support the development of critical business strategies.
  • Use analytical and financial modeling to translate conceptual ideas into operational realities, business plans, and budgets.
  • Work with cross-functional internal teams to manage acquisition due diligence, evaluating all financial and operational aspects.

Requirements

  • One to two years of relevant experience, preferably in Big 4 transaction deal advisory and consulting.
  • Undergraduate degree with a focus in finance, business, accounting, economics, or mathematics.
  • CFA in progress is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyze and value businesses.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office suite and financial reporting skills.
  • Results-driven with the ability to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
  • Team player mentality with the ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients.
  • Strong work ethic and detail orientation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively convey ideas.

Nice-to-haves

  • CFA certification in progress.
