About the position

The M&A Legal Intern position at SRS Acquiom offers a unique opportunity for law students to gain hands-on experience in the financial services technology sector, specifically in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Interns will work closely with experienced attorneys, assisting in the review of complex legal agreements and contributing to various legal research and drafting tasks. This part-time internship is designed for students who are eager to learn and develop their skills in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist M&A Counsel with reviewing acquisition agreements, escrow agreements, paying agent agreements, engagement letters, and other related transactional agreements.
• Research and draft internal memoranda on various M&A legal topics and assist M&A Counsel with thought leadership articles and resources.
• Draft and implement internal resources to support M&A Counsel and business functions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2L or 3L with a strong academic record from a nationally ranked, accredited law school.
• Transactional legal experience preferred.
• Completion of courses in corporate law, mergers & acquisition and/or contract drafting preferred.
