About the position

The Municipal and Industrial Territory Sales Manager at Chevron Phillips Chemical is responsible for the sales and marketing of HDPE pipe products in the Northeastern USA. This role involves developing and executing annual sales plans, cultivating customer relationships, and ensuring the company's strategic initiatives are communicated effectively. The position requires a strong focus on operational excellence and market intelligence to maintain the company's leadership in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Support Operational Excellence, Journey to Zero, and ICARE principles.
• Develop and execute annual territory sales plan for Municipal, Industrial, and Energy products.
• Cultivate and maintain trust-based customer relationships to position Performance Pipe as the preferred supplier.
• Communicate and reinforce company strategic initiatives and objectives effectively.
• Monitor market intelligence and communicate with the Global M&I Sales Manager and leadership team.
• Identify market trends and competitor activity to strengthen competitive advantages.
• Maintain Performance Pipe's leadership position through seminars, board committees, and conferences.
• Manage sales budget and travel expenses.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering, Technical, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5 - 10 years of previous experience as a technical sales representative or sales manager meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Previous pressure pipe sales experience through distributor networks is a plus.
• Proven ability to drive the sales process by negotiating and closing sustainable sales.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence all levels of customer's organization.
• Strong business acumen and industry expertise to guide and influence internal resources.
• Excellent people management skills.
