The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for MNsure plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for directing all aspects of budget development and administration, including the generation of premium withhold revenue forecasts and the allocation of expenditures. The CFO will lead the financial team in managing fiscal impacts, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and conducting policy and financial analyses related to MNsure's operations and obligations. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to provide expert fiscal advice and guidance to the Chief Executive Officer and the MNsure board, ensuring that financial policies and practices align with the organization's goals and objectives. In addition to budget management, the CFO will work closely with the MNsure board and Finance Work Group to develop preliminary and final budgets, as well as supporting revenue forecasts. Collaboration with colleagues from other state agencies is essential for addressing statewide planning budget issues. The CFO will also coordinate the accounting of new costs or revenues resulting from legislative proposals, task forces, or advisory groups, ensuring that all financial activities are accurately reflected in MNsure's budget. Leadership is a key component of this role, as the CFO will provide expertise and data analytics to support MNsure's executive and management teams in monitoring fiscal interests. The position also involves managing the finance department and overseeing purchased services from other state agencies, ensuring that all financial operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.
