About the position

The M&Q Data Governance Lead at Eli Lilly is responsible for implementing and operationalizing the Manufacturing and Quality (MQ) Data Strategy and Governance. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of data governance standards across global data domains, while also supporting the overall MQ strategy. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and soft skills to effectively communicate and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Implement Manufacturing and Quality (MQ) Data Strategy and Governance.
• Lead and operationalize MQ technical aspects of data governance.
• Collaborate closely with business data domain leads and product owners.
• Implement data strategies and global governance processes.
• Monitor evolving business and technology trends in data standards and quality.
• Coach and mentor team members on best practices and standards.
• Establish technology standards and automate data governance processes.
• Create and nurture a robust data governance framework for MQ data domains.
• Set foundational governance policies and procedures.
• Form domain working groups to drive governance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related technical field.
• Minimum of 7+ years in IT leadership roles with a focus on data strategies.
• Experience with data governance and standards implementation.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements including GxP standards and data privacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ERP, LIMS, MES or other manufacturing systems data standards.
• Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
