About the position

The M365 Architect will serve as a Collaboration Architecture Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing strategic guidance and expertise to IT and business stakeholders. This role focuses on the architecture and roadmap of Microsoft 365 products, ensuring their performance, reliability, and secure integration. The architect will manage standards for productivity toolset governance and work closely with compliance teams to meet regulatory and organizational security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer, govern, and optimize Microsoft 365, Azure, and other collaboration environments.
• Develop automated scripts for monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting using tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Azure Logic Apps.
• Design and deploy enterprise IT IaaS/SaaS/PaaS platforms, specializing in implementation based on web services, hosted apps, SharePoint, and other collaboration apps and services.
• Build solutions using Azure cloud computing, networking, storage, analytics, and monitoring services.
• Lead migration activities including Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestiture Projects for migrating SharePoint, OneDrive, Email, and other on-premises or cloud apps and services.
• Lead migrations of BOX, Dropbox, Egnyte, On-premises File Share/Home Share to OneDrive or SharePoint.
• Identify and migrate shadow IT solutions to organization-approved technologies.
• Evaluate new Azure and Microsoft 365 features and services, providing recommendations for adoption and integration.
• Provide strategic technical leadership in architecting comprehensive solutions on Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms.
• Design and implement custom solutions leveraging modern technologies such as Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, Angular, React, and SOAP/XML APIs.
• Work with Identity, Security, Information Governance, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure all solutions meet regulatory and organizational security requirements.
• Responsible for data retention, data protection, data governance, eDiscovery, and compliance using Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender for Identity, and other third-party eDiscovery, security, and compliance tools.
• Lead Microsoft 365 tenant expansion in different regions and countries to support future global growth of the organization while meeting local data residency and compliance requirements in Microsoft 365 Multi-Geo tenant.
• Contribute to long-term IT strategies by analyzing business requirements and technology trends.
• Integrate and leverage AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies to enhance productivity and collaboration within the Microsoft 365 environment.

Requirements

• Expert level experience in Microsoft 365 design and architecture.
• Strong experience in SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, and Power Platform.
• Knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance in the Microsoft 365 platform.
• Experience with Azure services and solutions.
• Experience integrating AI and Generative AI solutions in Microsoft 365.
