Machine Assistant

About the position

The Machine Assistant role at CPI Card Group involves operating printing and packaging machines to produce high-quality plastic cards and paper carriers. This position is essential in ensuring that products meet customer specifications while working in a clean, temperature-controlled environment. Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates machine as required
• Verifies that equipment is ready for operation and that necessary supplies are available
• May perform general equipment maintenance procedures
• Troubleshoots job/machine problems or failures, as needed
• Routinely loads feeders
• Fills out required paperwork including quality documents; initial inspection, in-process, and final inspection sheet
• Identifies material with poor quality and seeks assistance if needed to correct
• Watches product to ensure mag strips are applied in the exact location required, stopping machine and adjusting as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
• Previous machine operating experience; one year
• High mechanical aptitude
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Lift, move, push or pull up to 50lbs
• Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
• Good vision with the ability to distinguish color

Nice-to-haves

• Printing or graphics experience
• Manufacturing experience with mechanical ability
