Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, cloud-native applications to power text and image generation capabilities
• Leverage AWS generative AI services to build efficient, cost-effective models and inference pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, coding, testing, and operations
• Mentor other engineers, especially on AI/ML initiatives, and foster a culture of learning & collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of non-internship, professional software development experience
• 3+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of collaborating with, and influencing applied scientists and the broader science community within an organization
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field (MS or Ph.D.)
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in building scalable ML infrastructure
• 2+ years of experience in ML inference pipeline, Model performance optimization, and Model quality monitoring
• 3+ years of experience with end-to-end software development and life cycle of machine learning solutions
• Excellence in technical communication with scientists and engineers
• Track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of business such as large enterprises and start-ups
