About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. As part of the Global E-commerce Supply Chain Team, we are dedicated to enhancing clients' shopping experiences and reducing operational costs in the supply chain of TikTok E-commerce. This is achieved by developing end-to-end algorithm capabilities using machine learning, computer vision, multimodal techniques, operations research, data mining, and causal inference methods. We are seeking an exceptional and motivated Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Computer Vision (CV), Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC), or Multimodal technologies to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to solve challenging problems in the e-commerce supply chain and logistics domain. Your contributions will enable the team to improve operational efficiency and personalize customer experiences through advanced technologies like computer vision and multimodality.

Responsibilities

• Explore cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision, AIGC, and multimodal machine learning in the field of content commerce.
• Apply technologies such as AIGC in the field of content commerce, empowering various aspects of e-commerce such as merchandising, shelve product, and optimizing the images of products.
• Optimize and iterate CV/multimodal/AIGC-related models, including image understanding, image generation, image editing, and other advanced technologies.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field with excellent programming skills and proficiency in C/C++/Python.
• Familiarity with model training frameworks such as TensorFlow/PyTorch, understanding of mixed precision training, distributed training, TensorRT deployment, etc.
• In-depth research in a specific area of computer vision/multimodality, strong practical skills, priority given to those who have published papers in related competitions and top academic conferences.
• Experience in e-commerce or multimodal/AIGC, including image and video understanding, generation, etc. is preferred.
• Good learning ability, excellent communication skills, strong responsibility, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
