About the position

As a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Multimodal, and Large Language Models (LLM) at TikTok, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the governance and experience algorithms that support our e-commerce platform. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and optimize algorithms that address risks, violations, and low-quality issues within e-commerce scenarios, including product listings, shopping cart videos, and live streaming content. You will work closely with a team dedicated to building a healthy e-commerce ecosystem and improving platform service capabilities through advanced AI technology. In this role, you will be tasked with identifying and implementing algorithms that detect fraudulent behaviors and assess the quality of merchants and creators. You will also focus on optimizing algorithms for large-scale brand libraries and content deduplication, ensuring that our e-commerce offerings are both safe and high-quality. Your work will involve data construction, instruction fine-tuning, and the application of reinforcement learning and operational research algorithms to enhance audit quality and efficiency. You will have the opportunity to optimize various foundational algorithms, including those related to NLP, vision, multimodal processing, search, graph algorithms, and LLMs, to support governance business needs. This includes streamlining the optimization process for computer vision models, enhancing video classification, and improving risk identification models related to text content in e-commerce scenarios. Additionally, you will engage in research and implementation of large-scale multimodal algorithms, extracting data from diverse entities to support business scenarios such as content understanding and community mining. Your contributions will be crucial in constructing a large-scale graph storage and learning platform, which will support the foundational capabilities of graph learning with billions of nodes and edges. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and e-commerce, driving impactful changes in how we govern and enhance user experiences on our platform.
