The teams within USDS that deliver on this commitment span across Trust & Safety, Security & Privacy, Engineering, User & Product Ops, Corporate Functions, and more. The E-Commerce Risk Control team specifically works to minimize the damage caused by inauthentic behaviors on TikTok E-Commerce platforms. This includes addressing various business risk areas such as account integrity, incentive abuse, malicious behaviors, brushing, click-farming, and information leakage. As a member of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with the company's strategic security initiatives, particularly in developing scalable, robust, intelligent, and privacy-safe systems and solutions. The challenges faced are not typical day-to-day technical puzzles; instead, you will be part of a team that is innovating solutions to unprecedented challenges in a rapidly evolving product ecosystem. The work demands speed and adaptability while ensuring impactful and solid results. In this role, you will build machine learning solutions to address and mitigate business risks associated with TikTok products and platforms. This includes tackling issues such as abusive account integrity, scalpers, deal-hunters, malicious activities, and more. You will also be responsible for improving modeling infrastructures, labels, features, and algorithms to enhance robustness, automation, and generalization, thereby reducing the operational load on risk adversaries and facilitating new product and risk ramp-ups. Additionally, you will elevate risk machine learning excellence in areas such as privacy/compliance, interoperability, and risk perception and analysis.
