As a Machine Learning Engineer at DoorDash, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) and Routing models that are essential for our three-sided marketplace, which includes consumers, merchants, and dashers. This position is a key investment area for DoorDash, where you will tackle some of the most exciting and complex problems at scale, significantly impacting the company's operations and its various business lines. You will leverage our robust data and machine learning infrastructure to create inference and optimization models that will affect millions of users. In this role, you will collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to iterate on models that not only drive business growth but also improve service quality for our customers. Your responsibilities will include building deep learning models that provide accurate and scalable time predictions, thereby enhancing the consumer experience. Additionally, you will develop machine learning models in the routing domain, establishing a single source of truth that can positively influence key business metrics across internal teams. You will own the entire modeling lifecycle, which encompasses feature creation, model development and testing, experimentation, monitoring, explainability, and ongoing model maintenance.
