About the position

The Ads Core team, in particular, is dedicated to developing state-of-the-art ad technologies, including ranking, retrieval, targeting, bidding, and auction systems. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing ad formats and ranking strategies, ultimately enhancing the return on investment for advertisers. In this position, you will be responsible for building highly scalable machine learning systems and models that improve ad ranking results. You will explore, develop, and experiment with new features to enhance model accuracy, ensuring that our ad platform objectives are met. This involves understanding the intricacies of modern machine learning to improve ad quality and relevancy, as well as selecting the best ad formats for end-users. You will also develop robust core systems and algorithms, including ad format selection systems, ad ranking systems, and model serving systems. Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable machine learning systems/models to improve ads ranking results.
• Explore, develop and experiment with new features to improve model accuracy.
• Understand ad platform objectives and leverage modern machine learning to improve ad quality and relevancy.
• Select the best ad formats delivered to end-users.
• Develop robust core systems and algorithms, including ads format selection system, ads ranking system, and model serving system.

Requirements

• Graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
• Solid programming skills, proficient in C/C++ and Python.
• Familiar with basic data structures and algorithms.
• Familiar with Linux development environment.
• Good analytical thinking capability with essential knowledge and skills in statistics.
• Clear theoretical grounding in deep learning concepts and techniques.
• Familiar with architecture and implementation of at least one mainstream machine learning programming framework (TensorFlow/PyTorch/MXNet).

Nice-to-haves

• Clear understanding in one of the following domains: ads bidding & auction, ads quality control, and online advertising systems.
• Familiarity with terms such as CPC/CPM, CTR/CVR, Ranking/Targeting, Conversion/Budget, Campaign/Creative.
