About the position

The Search E-Commerce team at TikTok is focused on developing an advanced search algorithm to enhance the e-commerce platform. The role involves optimizing search quality and user experience, implementing multi-modal matching, and improving the overall shopping experience for users. Responsibilities

• Improve the basic search quality and user experience by optimizing query analysis and text relevance matching.
• Understand e-commerce video content and implement multi-modal matching to enhance product authority perception.
• Comprehensively improve the end-to-end shopping experience from browsing to after-sales.
• Design and implement the end-to-end ranking system, including recall, first stage ranking, final stage ranking, and mixed row.
• Enhance users' personalized shopping interests model to improve shopping conversion efficiency for merchandise, video, and live stream.
• Promote the robust development of the ecosystem by addressing supply and demand matching, business cold start, and sustainable growth challenges.
• Analyze and adjust the evolution of the system to achieve long-term and sustainable growth of GMV.

Requirements

• Current or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with recommendation systems, machine learning, deep learning, data mining, computer vision, NLP, or multimodal machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or C/C++, and familiarity with a machine learning framework.
• Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills.

• Publication records in top journals or conferences.
• Experience winning ACM-ICPC medals.
