About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer II position at Annapurna ML involves working closely with strategic customers to facilitate the porting of their models to AWS Trainium and Inferentia platforms. This role requires delivering high-quality code and customizations to ensure model functionality and performance, while also contributing to open-source projects and collaborating with the Neuron engineering team to enhance product quality and roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Assist strategic customers in porting their models to AWS Trainium and Inferentia.
• Write code to optimize model performance on AWS purpose-built silicon solutions.
• Port the latest open-source models to AWS Trainium/Inferentia.
• Contribute to open-source projects to support AWS Trainium/Inferentia.
• Collaborate with the Neuron engineering team to drive product roadmap and improve product quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience.
• 3+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• 2+ years of experience writing code to train and/or deploy deep learning models in PyTorch.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience deploying Generative AI applications with large language or vision models into production.
