About The Position
Join the E-commerce Global Supply Chain and Logistics team at TikTok for a summer/fall internship in 2025! As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, you will be at the forefront of enhancing the shopping experience and reducing logistics operational costs. This internship is designed for brilliant and motivated graduate software engineers who are eager to apply their knowledge in machine learning (ML), operations research (OR), data mining, and statistical inference to real-world challenges. You will be responsible for developing deep learning and operations research models and related intelligent systems for the supply chain and logistics of the global E-Commerce business. In this role, you will utilize e-commerce big data and deep learning models to predict end-to-end estimated time of arrival (ETA) and other logistics events, such as failed deliveries and delivered but not received packages. You will build logistics network knowledge graphs and predict the spatio-temporal trajectory sequence of express packages through deep learning and statistical inference. Additionally, you will employ NLP and LLM algorithms to address problems like address verification and suggestion. Your responsibilities will also include utilizing time series forecasting techniques to predict sales at various granularities and horizons, such as warehouse-level manpower forecasting and inventory-level demand forecasting. You will participate in the growth of e-commerce merchants and creators, working closely with operations and product teams to achieve high-quality growth goals. Furthermore, you will analyze massive e-commerce information to predict product performance in terms of traffic and conversion, improving operational strategies and optimizing traffic distribution. This internship runs for 12-24 weeks, starting in May/June 2025 or August/September 2025. Successful candidates must clearly state their availability in their resumes, including start and end dates.
