About the position

At GSK, we envision a future where advanced applications of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) enable the development of innovative therapies for existing diseases and allow for rapid responses to emerging health challenges with personalized medications. This ambitious vision necessitates the creation of cutting-edge products and solutions in the realm of ML and AI. We are seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to help turn this vision into reality. In this role, you will be responsible for building and deploying machine learning models aimed at accelerating the development of oligonucleotide therapeutics. You will engage with foundational genomics models and multiomics datasets derived from patient data and laboratory experiments to model various aspects of RNA biology. This work will enhance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying diseases, drug responses, and the design of top-tier drugs within this exciting new therapeutic modality. While familiarity with genomics and RNA biology is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for this position. We welcome machine learning engineers who have demonstrated excellence in other domains and possess a strong desire to learn. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of delivering high-performing AI/ML-powered products, academic excellence, and a passion for tackling complex challenges in AI and ML. While a background in biological sciences is beneficial, it is not mandatory; what is essential is a commitment to advancing therapies for both new and existing diseases, along with a consistent pattern of continuous learning and development. Our AI/ML team operates on principles of ownership, accountability, continuous development, and collaboration. We are dedicated to fostering a long-term career path for our employees and are committed to making GSK a great place to work. Our leadership team is focused on supporting your career and development from day one.
