About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, with a mission to inspire creativity and bring joy. The e-commerce alliance team is focused on serving merchants and creators within the e-commerce platform, aiming to meet merchants' business indicators and enhance creators' creative efficiency. By collaborating with both merchants and creators, the team strives to deliver high-quality content and a personalized shopping experience for TikTok users. This involves creating efficient shopping tools at seller centers and fostering cooperation between merchants and creators. In this role, you will be responsible for building and designing large-scale machine learning algorithms that model the real-time interests of creators, ultimately improving conversion efficiency. You will also optimize TikTok's extensive commodity relationship mining, as well as the ranking and recall of creators' product recommendations, to enhance the overall Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of the platform. Utilizing large-scale data, you will analyze the behaviors of creators and merchants to develop targeted algorithm strategies that empower both parties, improve monetization efficiency for merchants, and facilitate industrial upgrading. Additionally, you will support the rapid development of TikTok's e-commerce business, serving millions of merchants while exploring more efficient business models. Your efforts will be directed towards providing users with the best shopping experience and promoting healthy ecological development within the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Build and design large-scale machine learning algorithms to model the real-time interests of creators to improve conversion efficiency.
  • Optimize TikTok's massive commodity relationship mining and ranking and recall of creators' product recommendations, and improve the overall GMV of the platform.
  • Use the large scale of data to deeply analyze the behavior of creators and merchants and build targeted algorithm strategies to empower creators and merchants, improve merchants' monetization efficiency, and boost industrial upgrading.
  • Support the rapid development of TikTok's e-commerce business, serve millions of merchants, explore more efficient business models, satisfy users with the best shopping experience, and promote healthy ecological development.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of industry experience with a solid theoretical foundation in machine learning.
  • Familiar with common algorithms such as matrix factorization, GBDT, LTR, Word2vec, DIN, Deep&Wide.
  • Proficient in Python and C++ languages.
  • Proficiency in using any of the following open source tools: XGboost, TensorFlow, Caffe.
  • Have excellent learning ability and good communication and cooperation spirit.
