About the position

Amazon Robotics is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to develop advanced vision capabilities for robotic platforms. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team to design, implement, and optimize machine learning models that enhance robotic perception and performance across a global fleet of robots.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement Machine Learning models for vision systems on robotic platforms
• Optimize, deploy, and support ML models at scale on the edge
• Collaborate with stakeholders across science and operations teams to iterate on design and implementation
• Participate in reviews, ensuring high standards for fault tolerance and operational excellence
• Prototype and test concepts or features using simulations and live robotic equipment
• Work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedback
• Mentor other engineering team members

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Experience with implementing 3D Depth estimation algorithms

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience in CUDA programming
• Experience in building or deploying ML depth perception
