The e-commerce alliance team at TikTok is dedicated to enhancing the experience of merchants and creators within the e-commerce platform. This team focuses on meeting merchants' business indicators and improving the creative efficiency of creators. By collaborating with both merchants and creators, the team aims to deliver high-quality content and a personalized shopping experience for TikTok users. They are also responsible for developing efficient shopping tools at seller centers and fostering cooperation between merchants and creators. As a Machine Learning Engineer in the e-commerce alliance team, you will be tasked with designing and building large-scale machine learning algorithms that optimize various aspects of the e-commerce search engine. This includes working on ranking, query analysis, and correlation calculations, as well as improving business indicators such as relevance, click-through rates, and conversion rates. You will also be responsible for building machine learning solutions and algorithm strategies through the analysis of extensive user queries, which will empower merchants and enhance the platform's overall matching capabilities. Your role will involve deep analysis of creator and merchant behaviors using large datasets to develop targeted algorithm strategies that improve monetization efficiency for merchants and support industrial upgrades. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting the rapid development of TikTok's e-commerce business, serving millions of merchants, exploring efficient business models, and ensuring users have the best shopping experience while promoting healthy ecological development.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build large-scale machine learning algorithms to optimize e-commerce search engines, including ranking, query analysis, and correlation calculations.
  • Build machine learning solutions and algorithm strategies by analyzing a large number of user queries to empower merchants and improve platform matching capabilities.
  • Analyze creator and merchant behavior using large datasets to develop targeted algorithm strategies that enhance monetization efficiency and support industrial upgrades.
  • Support the rapid development of TikTok's e-commerce business, serving millions of merchants and exploring efficient business models to enhance user shopping experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or relevant areas.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language such as C++, Python, or Shell, with a solid programming foundation and good programming style.
  • Experience in algorithm development, familiar with Sparse LR, DFFM, Deep&Wide, and DSSM applications and optimizations on large-scale sparse data.
  • Familiarity with at least one mainstream deep learning framework (TensorFlow, Caffe, MXNet) and commonly used deep learning algorithms.
  • Ability to solve problems independently with strong teamwork and communication skills.
