As a Machine Learning Engineer in the Search Growth E-commerce team, you will be at the forefront of developing the search recommendation algorithm for TikTok's rapidly expanding global e-commerce enterprise. This role involves utilizing cutting-edge machine learning technology, advanced natural language processing (NLP), computer vision (CV), recommendation systems, and multi-modal technology to shape a pioneering engine within the industry. In this position, you will enhance search recommendation services and models for TikTok, driving increased search traffic on TikTok and TikTok Mall while improving users' search understanding. You will optimize the recommender system based on hyperscale machine learning models, covering a range of tasks from recall/first-stage ranking to final-stage ranking in the end-to-end workflow. Additionally, you will explore the upper limits of short text recommendation and general recommendation technology, focusing on the interaction between recommendation and NLP technology. Responsibilities

• Enhance search recommendation services and models for TikTok, driving increased search traffic on TikTok and TikTok Mall.
• Optimize the recommender system based on hyperscale machine learning models, covering tasks from recall/first-stage ranking to final-stage ranking.
• Explore the upper limits of short text recommendation and general recommendation technology, focusing on the interaction between recommendation and NLP technology.

Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience in machine learning.
• Good product sense with a focus on user experience.
• Bachelor or advanced degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• Excellent coding skills with solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into essential insights.
