About the position

As a Machine Learning Engineer at TikTok, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models and algorithms aimed at optimizing seller growth within the company's global e-commerce platform. This position involves streamlining data workflows, innovating machine learning solutions, and collaborating across various teams to enhance the shopping experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Streamline Data Workflows by building scalable data pipelines for automated preprocessing, model training, and prediction.
• Design, develop, and optimize advanced machine learning algorithms for diverse tasks, monitoring model performance and addressing potential issues.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and subject matter experts to define objectives and develop strategies for complex business challenges.
• Work with software engineers to integrate machine learning models into production systems and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated on advancements in data mining, machine learning, and related fields to enhance team capabilities.

Requirements

• Master's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist.
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with expertise in data manipulation and analysis libraries.
• Familiarity with big data processing frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark, with experience in distributed computing for large-scale datasets.
• Solid understanding of machine/deep learning concepts and techniques, including feature engineering, model evaluation, and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in Deep Learning.
• Experience with PyTorch.
