About the position

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will leverage your expertise in machine learning to create innovative solutions for complex challenges in the federal healthcare sector. Your role will involve training, testing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models, conducting statistical analyses, and collaborating with a diverse team of professionals to deliver customer-focused solutions. You will be responsible for defining the direction of mission-critical solutions and guiding clients through the landscape of machine learning algorithms and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Train, test, deploy, and maintain machine learning models.
  • Conduct statistical analyses on business processes using machine learning techniques.
  • Define the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions.
  • Perform A/B testing tasks on statistical models, ML algorithms, and systems.
  • Guide clients in navigating the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with data science, ML engineering, or postdoctoral research for ML.
  • Experience with natural language processing and large language models (LLM).
  • Experience with RAG framework.
  • Experience with ML methods including linear, reinforcement learning, tree-based, or deep learning-based methods and regularization approaches.
  • Experience deploying ML models into a production environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with databases, including SQL.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing software architectures with containerization tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with software development, including API development or database management, and model deployment with JavaScript frameworks, including React, Angular, or Node.js.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Ability to work in a Linux environment with bash scripting.
  • Master's degree.
