About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer for Sponsored Products Off-Search Sourcing and Relevance at Amazon Advertising is responsible for developing innovative technology solutions and machine learning models to enhance the shopping experience on non-Search pages of Amazon.com. This role involves building large-scale, low-latency distributed systems and collaborating with Product Managers and Scientists to solve complex problems that directly impact customers.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, coding, troubleshooting, and supporting data pipelines and online ad serving systems.
  • Architect and design ad serving systems that solve real-world customer use cases.
  • Integrate solutions with high volume and low latency distributed systems.
  • Measure the impact and customer response to solutions through rapid experimentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing.
