About the position

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on developing machine learning models and algorithms that drive the creation of innovative technical solutions. This includes tasks such as POI (Point of Interest) data production, POI recommendation, reviews sentiment analysis and ranking, geocoding, and user profiling. Your role will involve enhancing and optimizing Location-Based Services (LBS) capabilities to support a variety of international products. You will be responsible for formulating algorithmic strategies that address geographical content and services, ensuring that our solutions are not only technically sound but also aligned with real-world business impacts. This requires a thorough understanding of business intricacies, the ability to analyze complex issues, and the skill to devise appropriate algorithms and strategies tailored to various problem domains. Responsibilities

• Work on ML models and algorithms to drive the creation of cutting-edge technical solutions.
• Bridge the gap between technical capabilities and real-world business impact, including POI data production, POI recommendation, reviews sentiment analysis and ranking, geocoding, and user profiling.
• Responsible for algorithmic strategies in geographical content and services.
• Enhance and optimize Location-Based Services (LBS) capabilities to support a range of international products.
• Comprehend business intricacies, analyze issues, and devise appropriate algorithms and strategies tailored to various problem domains.
• Continuously optimize performance and efficacy.

Requirements

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related major.
• Experienced in programming and algorithmic skills, proficient in languages such as Python, Golang, or C++.
• Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experienced in one or more of the following topics: Tensorflow, Caffe, MxNet, PyTorch or other machine learning frameworks.
• Good team communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of industry experience in building and leading ML model development for large-scale consumer-facing applications.
• Experience or domain expertise in one or more of the following areas: POI data algorithms, NLP, recommendation systems, reviews sentiment analysis and ranking, NER, text mining, geocoding, user profiling.
• Experience in big data, data warehouse, streaming data flow, and real-time data processing systems.
