About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer at Rapid Cycle Solutions LLC (RCS) is responsible for reviewing and analyzing data sets, making recommendations for data cleansing and transformation, and supporting data migration planning. This role involves building a skills inventory that integrates with various systems to capture position skill requirements and competency levels. The position requires onsite work in Herndon, VA, and involves collaboration with internal offices to enhance the skills and competencies repository.

Responsibilities

• Review analysis of data sets.
• Compare data sets against information contained in various HR and Talent systems.
• Review and map the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) data sets to identify structural differences.
• Review the data cleansing status and preview mock cleansing.
• Establish a repeatable process to scrape and collect skills from performance reviews.
• Comply with guidance regarding the collection and use of personal identifiable Information (PII).
• Create an access-controlled collection of disparate data sources.
• Create an access-controlled database to store jobs, competencies, KSAs, and proficiency levels.
• Create a data migration plan to export collected skills and competencies.
• Scrape, collate, and analyze skill sets from various sources for the skills repository.
• Gather and analyze onboarding data to enrich the skills repository.
• Review and analyze service competency data for the skills repository.
• Collaborate with internal offices to update competency data.
• Evaluate current Chatbot and ML/AI offerings and provide integration opportunities.
• Assess planned system restructuring and its data integration impacts.
• Create a transition guide or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Create and maintain documentation for a Skills Taxonomy Gap Analysis Report.
• Create and maintain documentation of methodologies and tools used.
• Create and maintain documentation related to system access and databases.
• Create and maintain a list of Internal and External Key Contacts.
• Create and maintain documentation regarding concerns, risks, and issues.
• Create and maintain documentation regarding the status of deliverables.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Experience designing and creating tables, views, and relationships with database systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL, NOSQL).
• Experience implementing and using ETL tools.
• Experience creating Data APIs or data services.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and Scala programming languages.
• Experience creating data visualizations.
• Experience implementing ML/AI software, tools, and services.
• Experience using AWS-based analytic tools and services.
• Experience with Apache Hadoop.
