About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer at Toyota Connected will leverage machine learning and statistical techniques to develop innovative solutions for complex problems. This role involves working in a fast-paced Agile Scrum environment, focusing on prototyping, designing, and implementing predictive models and algorithms that have a direct impact on the company's success. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, technically proficient, and eager to tackle challenging issues using advanced machine learning techniques, particularly in voice and text applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in prototyping, designing, and implementing predictive models and algorithms in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Utilize statistical, machine learning, and deep learning techniques to create scalable solutions and drive R&D for new product discovery.
  • Execute the full modeling life cycle, including data cleansing, feature creation, and iterative model selection.
  • Build scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, model development, validation, and implementation.
  • Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to coding standards.
  • Stay updated on research methodologies and technological advancements to enhance existing methods.

Requirements

  • 1.5+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning in a corporate environment.
  • Programming experience in Python.
  • Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP).
  • Knowledge of problem solving, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience in C++ or Rust is a plus.
  • Experience implementing solutions in a cloud environment (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
  • Experience in designing and implementing Machine Learning pipelines in production environments is a plus.
