About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer position is a critical role within the Business Analytics and Decision Support (BADS) team at SPECTRAFORCE. This team is dedicated to automating the ingestion and curation of data for analyses, business reviews, and operational reporting demands. The overarching goal is to leverage data to drive informed decision-making and create value through analytical insights and innovative solutions. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will collaborate closely with science teams to transition research into production-ready solutions. This role requires a blend of engineering expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, along with a strong technical foundation and product focus. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing novel machine learning systems, integrating products, and optimizing performance for releases into production. You will ensure compliance with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and adhere to best practices in software development and cloud infrastructure, focusing on scalability, security, and availability. Your contributions will be vital in developing and operationalizing solutions that are deployed in production, working across multiple teams to integrate these solutions with partner products. Additionally, you will design model experimentation processes and frameworks in collaboration with scientists, help cultivate best practices in software development and MLOps, and provide ongoing support for model lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, with at least five years of experience in the field. A Bachelor's degree in programming or a related field is required, and additional qualifications in statistics or mathematics are preferred. Familiarity with AWS development and tools, as well as experience with TensorFlow and R, will be advantageous for success in this role.
