About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer role at Apple focuses on developing innovative algorithms to enhance the online retail experience. This position is part of the Apple Store Online team, which aims to provide a personalized digital shopping experience for customers. The engineer will work on various projects, including product search, recommendation systems, and Generative AI, contributing to the overall optimization of Apple’s online systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other MLEs to build scalable, production-ready ML solutions, taking algorithms from initial concept through to deployment.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our ML infrastructure and tooling.
• Engage in continuous learning and development, staying up-to-date with the latest advances in machine learning and software engineering.

Requirements

• Strong machine learning background.
• Proven software development skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, engineers, data scientists/analysts, and product managers.
• Experience in developing and implementing machine learning algorithms.

Nice-to-haves
