About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer at SCAN Group is responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining advanced analytics environments to address business challenges. This role involves collaborating with leadership to develop strategies and oversee architectural designs for advanced analytics, big data, and machine learning initiatives. The engineer will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure technology decisions align with the enterprise architecture framework, while also mentoring team members and supporting the organization's vision and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement machine learning architecture and solutions.
  • Collaborate with partners to align technology decisions with enterprise architecture.
  • Establish and maintain analytic environments for data warehousing and business intelligence.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in advanced analytics solutions.
  • Ensure data analytics solutions align with business and IT objectives.
  • Communicate solution options to stakeholders and facilitate architecture reviews.
  • Identify gaps between standards and proposed solutions for advanced analytics.
  • Evaluate existing technology assets related to data science and business intelligence.
  • Mentor team members in technical skills related to data analysis and data science.
  • Collaborate with data insight teams to establish development standards.
  • Engage stakeholders to architect effective advanced analytics solutions.
  • Support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • 4+ years of overall IT field experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in advanced analytics solution architecture in complex environments required.
  • Hands-on experience with Modern Data Warehousing in cloud environments.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Pyspark, Azure DevOps, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, MS SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, Tableau, Alteryx, Natural Language Processing, Scikit-Learn.
  • Programming experience with Python/R and SQL is required.
  • Deep understanding of data science, machine learning, and advanced statistical techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Deep Learning Libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Health care industry experience.
