About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer will be part of Apple's Video Computer Vision (VCV) Face and Body technologies team, focusing on developing machine learning models for computer vision and graphics applications. This role involves engaging in the entire machine learning cycle, from data collection and processing to model design and validation, contributing to innovative solutions that enhance human representation and motion in VisionOS and iOS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning models for computer vision and graphics applications.
• Engage in the entire ML cycle from data collection design to model validation.
• Collaborate with other ML engineers and multi-functional teams.
• Adapt state-of-the-art methods or implement new methods for feature shipping on visionOS and iOS platforms.

Requirements

• BS degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience working on ML projects for computer vision or graphics applications.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch.
• Strong independent problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• MS degree in computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, or related field.
• PhD in computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, computer science, or computer engineering.
• Passion for delivering high-quality features to diverse end-users.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with multi-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of prioritizing and delivering tasks on schedule.
