About The Position
teKnoluxion is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our dedicated team supporting the UDS contract at NGA. This position is located in St. Louis, MO or Springfield, VA and requires an active TS (SCI eligibility) clearance, with eligibility to obtain a CI polygraph upon application. The role is focused on rapidly prototyping containerized multimodal deep learning solutions and associated data pipelines to enhance GeoAI capabilities, which are crucial for improving analytic workflows and addressing key intelligence questions. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be at the forefront of implementing State-of-the-Art (SOTA) Computer Vision (CV) and Vision Language Models (VLM). Your work will involve conducting image retrieval, segmentation tasks, AI-assisted labeling, object detection, and visual question answering using various geospatial datasets, including satellite and aerial imagery, full-motion video (FMV), ground photos, and OpenStreetMap. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow to optimize convolutional neural networks (CNN) for object detection and segmentation tasks. You will also apply transfer learning and knowledge distillation methodologies to fine-tune pre-trained models, ensuring efficient performance even with limited training data. Your responsibilities will include building secure containerized Python applications, automating builds using CI/CD pipelines, and utilizing Python to query and retrieve imagery from S3 compliant APIs.
