About the position

The Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for researching and applying large-scale models to explore new applications and solutions in various fields such as search, recommendation, advertising, content creation, and customer service. The role aims to meet the increasing demand for intelligent user interactions and enhance communication and lifestyle in the future. Key responsibilities include developing large-scale language models, optimizing enterprise applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to responsibly deploy these technologies.

Responsibilities

• Exploring and developing large-scale language models and optimizing enterprise applications.
• Data construction, instruction tuning, preference alignment, and model optimization.
• Implementation of relevant applications, including content generation, reasoning, and code generation.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to produce and apply new science for responsible development and deployment of large language models.
• In-depth research and exploration of future usage scenarios.

Requirements

• Excellent coding ability, data structures, and fundamental algorithm skills, proficient in C/C++ or Python.
• Experience in one or more areas: NLP, Ranking, Ads, search engine, recommender system, distributed system, and machine learning.
• Familiarity with NLP, CV-related algorithms, and large-scale model training and RL algorithms is preferred.
• Excellent problem analysis and solving skills, particularly in large-scale model training and application.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to explore new technologies with the team.

Nice-to-haves

• Winners of competitions such as ACM/ICPC, NOI/IOI, Top Coder, Kaggle, etc. are preferred.
• Familiarity with large-scale model training and reinforcement learning algorithms.
