About the position

Apple is seeking a dynamic and experienced Machine Learning Engineering Manager to lead the Advanced Analytics team within the Worldwide Business Process Re-Engineering organization. This role involves overseeing a team of data scientists to design and develop advanced data science solutions that address the complexities of supply chain analytics. The manager will engage with senior stakeholders, drive operational improvements, and foster an environment of innovation and learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of highly skilled data scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Architect and collaborate with data engineers on data strategy and infrastructure to implement robust, scalable solutions.
• Communicate results of analyses and models to partners and senior leaders, influencing decision-making with executive leadership.
• Engage with global business leaders to identify high ROI opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own and drive key cross-functional initiatives across Apple's Operations teams.

Requirements

• PhD/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field.
• 12+ years of industry experience, with a proven track record of 10+ years managing high-performing teams in data science, machine learning, and analytics.
• Practical experience in predictive modeling and algorithms, including anomaly detection, NLP, LLM, and CVML.
• Expertise in tooling and the ability to dive deep into complex challenges.
