As a Machine Learning Engineering Manager at Stripe, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI/ML initiatives aimed at enhancing the user experience for our merchants. The Stripe Assistant team is dedicated to building an intelligent assistant that simplifies tasks for users, automating routine processes while providing assistance for more complex challenges. This involves customizing the Stripe landing page for personalized integrations, enabling natural language commands for the Stripe API, and automating issue resolution. The team is focused on developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems utilizing the latest Large Language Models (LLMs) and fine-tuning proprietary models, ensuring a seamless transition from conceptualization to production deployment. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a bold vision for AI/ML that directly benefits our users. You will set the technical and process direction for the team, aligning it with overarching business goals. Collaboration is key, as you will brainstorm and coordinate product integrations with partner teams, propose innovative ideas, and build prototypes that push the boundaries of what is possible. As a leader, you will be an integral part of a broader ML community, both within Stripe and externally, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Your leadership will extend to hiring and developing a world-class team capable of delivering high-quality ML systems.
