About The Position

The Machine Learning Research Engineer position within the System Intelligence Machine Learning (SIML) organization at Apple focuses on developing advanced multi-modal human sensing technologies. This role is integral to creating intelligent experiences that leverage machine learning and computer vision to enhance user interactions across Apple platforms, including features in Apple Intelligence, Camera, and Photos. The engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to cutting-edge research and development in AI/ML models for human sensing.

Requirements

• Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or comparable professional experience.
• Proficient in Python, Pytorch, or equivalent deep learning frameworks.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing solutions using modern ML architecture.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with C++ and Swift programming.
• Background in research and innovation, demonstrated through publications in top-tier journals or conferences, patents, or impactful software developments.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and deploying state-of-the-art visual recognition systems.
• Interacting with cross-functional stakeholders to gather product requirements and translating these into actionable plans for ML research and development.
• Communicating results and insights to partners and senior leaders, providing clear and actionable recommendations.
